Nutrient neutrality is a means of ensuring that a development plan or project does not add to existing nutrient burdens within catchments, so there is no net increase in nutrients as a result of the plan or project.
Where neutrality measures are needed, the purpose of these mitigation measures is to avoid impacts to the designated sites, rather than compensating for the impacts once they have occurred.
As one of the leading off-mains foul drainage specialist in Herefordshire and Shropshire H+H Drainage has a deep understanding of the nutrient issues surrounding our local rivers. As many of you will be aware, pollution is high on our list of important issues in this country and H+H Drainage is working with Local Planning Authorities to address pollution and achieve nutrient neutrality.
Unlike many larger companies, H+H Drainage is a local company specialising in small developments in our local affected River Catchments.
